analysis of artist merch site


Before entering the site, there is a pop-up. This is used to grab the viewers attention and encourage them to Pre-Order the snapback - which, in terms on the type of language, the phrase "Pre-Order your I Play Dirty snapback now" is an imperative, which orders us instead of asks, or suggests. It's a very good promotional strategy technique to use, especially since this is a new brand by Krept and Konan.

The homepage looks very professionally photographed and edited as well as laid out. It makes us believe Krept and Konan are serious about their work and are dedicated to making a good product - musically and physically - for their fans, which encourages us to support their brand by buying their products, just by how the models model the clothes so well.

The video is essentially about how they have just begun this new website, using real life models and professional set with skilled photographers to better their brand and their image as artists. They promote the clothes, telling us what they have now - they have a bigger range of clothes and accessories, and have even started a line for female size, saying they are "branching out".
