8. Previous Student Work Evaluation

My favourite previous work of students is the "lets Go For Tonight" music video. I think the darkly lit base track is very well lit especially wqhen compared the the costume and setting of this specific master shot.

I believe that the composition of this shot is well worth commenting on. The slightly right side of the screen based protagonist not only compliments the artificially moonlit location but proxemically allows variation of staging within the music video.

In addition, I also thought that the transitional editing over halfway through the music video once the music became slower and mor fluent was especially good.

This shot in itself consists of 2 known camera angles. Implementing a  constant dissolve in their editing software allowed for both of these shots to be shown at once. This was especially effective as it was highly consistent with the songs key change as well as tempo variation.

This filter was also a consistent theme throughout. The use of a camera recording filter gave the whole video a feel of authenticity of homemade production.

Finally, one of the final filters added towards the end of the music video was this mirror effect behind their pink smokescreen shot. This was very well shot and edited as what was probably a minor release of smoke was edited with this mirror effect to emphasize this minor production effect into a far more shot worthy plume of pink smoke.
