I think our music video is definitely on it's way to looking like a final product very soon, and I think we have a lot of footage to choose from. For me, the experience of editing has been a lot different to most groups because I have not had the opportunity to be of much help during post-production at all according other members in my group. Overall, the most technology I have used relates to my previous posts as well as doing the four vlogs I put up on the blog. I still believe the ideas from my storyboard could have made the music video better than what it is, and with my help in editing, A-grade worthy, however the rest of group has decided that we shouldn't be going anywhere else in the time we have (I mentioned the Barbican Estate before this moment) and the clips we have are worthy enough.
Things I like:
The transition to the Primrose Hill location - it is unexpected
The grading Matt has put on the video has given a stylistic look of the video
The opening and closing video transitions (mentioned in previous blog post)
Things in the video I would take out if we had time to film more:
The skateboard at the beginning and some of the alleyway clips (that particular side of his face has blemishes we weren't able to buff away and I don't think the audience want to see this, honestly speaking) They were also rather shaky.
Things I would integrate into the video:
Meaning track-in shots which I had suggested we use for the location shots throughout and establishing ones in the beginning of the video and the narrative I had in mind didn't go through, since we didn't film in at Queen's walk, Granary Square or do any narrative shots in the skatepark.
